Continuous sleeves are standard on all aluminum stairs, which provides a smooth finished look to the center column.  We use 3/16” thick aluminum treads and platforms as well as 1” round heavy wall aluminum tubing for balusters.  Diamond plate treads provide a non-skid surface.
