Powder Coated Steel Finish
Our Steel powder coating is a very high end finish that cannot be matched by any home spraying system. It starts with a 5 step wash process which thoroughly cleans the steel using a mix of high pressure water, heat, and special combination rinses that prepare the steel for the finish it is about to receive. This process is superior to sandblasting which will never truly remove all the dirt and other particles on the stair; we know this from over thirty years experience with spirals trying different processes. We then spray the powder onto the stair which is promptly put into a specialty high temperature oven to ensure the powder is baked on properly. All of our stairs are then hand checked to ensure the quality of the finish. This is the ultimate in finishes and a true professional process. Any color in the world can be matched, but we also offer stock and semi-custom colors all of which can be viewed in the links below.

Powder Coated Aluminum Finish
Our Aluminum powder coating is the same quality of finish that the steel powder coating has, but with a different process. We have developed throughout the last thirty years an exclusive process in which we prepare the aluminum using a proprietary process. This process is superior to sandblasting because it completely removes everything from the surface; we know this from over thirty years experience trying different processes with spirals.

Hot-Dip Galvanized Steel
Another option for our steel stairs is hot dip galvanizing. This process ends up with an industrial gray finish, that some customers are looking for, which actually bonds the steel to the zinc alloy. You can paint the galvanizing at your home if you properly prepare the surface and use the correct paint. The hot-dip galvanizing process uses a multi step process to prepare the steel and our particular stairs are done with a very high quality of care. We use a hot alkali solution, then a dilute acid solution, and finally dipped in flux or a heated bath of Zinc Ammonium chloride solution which ensure that all the rust, great, paint, oil, etc is completely removed. All those cleaning steps ensure that a proper bond can occur between the steel and zinc alloy dipping process which chemically bond the zinc protection to the steel. We then hand check each individual piece for quality and ensure no sharp edges are left from the galvanizing dip |

Painted Primer Finish
This primer finish is included in the cost of all our stairs. We use a very high quality primer that will prepare the stair for paint to be applied once it is installed. We offer this in light gray or black depending on which color you plan on painting the stair. In some instances customers who do not plan on using the stair very often or it is installed in a place where it is not seen actually leave the primer as the only paint coat due to its high quality. We often hear that people think our primer is all they need once they see it and depending upon where and how often it is used. |
