The New Look For Solid Wood Spiral Stairs

The significance of Salter's solid wood spiral stair design is our unique tread attachment to a 5" round, solid wood center column. With hardened steel fasteners that are imbedded into each wood tread, we have created a solid connection to the center column. Another substantial design characteristic is that each primary baluster is connected to two treads, providing additional strength. We achieve this by recessing the baluster into the corners of the tread, which creates a smooth fit. The outside edge of the tread is enclosed preventing the tread from cupping, which stiffens the connection and provides graceful curves.
