Aluminum Spiral Stairs Enhance any Deck

Given the extreme conditions of nature, exterior installations require tougher solutions. Aluminum is a lightweight, yet durable metal that naturally will resist rust. Therefore it is an ideal material for an exterior stair, one that will minimize the effects of nature. In addition to the inherent properties of aluminum, we go an extra step to increase the stairs longevity with our “Factory-finish.” The finishing process is called powder coating and is considered to be a very durable, high quality finish. The factory-finished stair is available in white, black and custom colors. Custom color charts are available upon request.

With maintenance-free in mind, our aluminum spiral stair is perfect for all exterior situations such as patios, decks, and hard-to-reach rooftop overlooks. Just review the technical specifications and choose the component options to build the stair that is right for you!

Tread Styles

AT-1. Standard aluminum tread with closed end.

AT-2. Curved Up aluminum tread with closed end. Provides a thinner profile.

AT-4. Long Curved aluminum tread with closed end. Provides a graceful profile.

AT-6. Code Riser aluminum tread with closed ends. Code risers will maintain a baluster spacing of less than 4˝.

AT-8. Grated aluminum tread with closed end. Provides a more open profile that allows for “pass-through” of water. (Not available in a diamond pattern).

Aluminum deck stairs are not only functional but they also offer a distinct architectural element that has a major impact on the concept of a home. In today’s architectural design, consumers are demanding access to all areas of a home such as a remote deck. Spiral stairs in this application become extremely practical. The require a very small footprint and provide excellent access to the upper deck or balcony. Imagine this deck with a conventional straight stair. The space saved and the added style that this stair creates makes this an excellent choice for your next deck.

• Treads and platform are made of 3/16" thick
   solid aluminum plates.
• The handrail is 1 ½" round (larger than most)
• The balusters are 1" round heavy wall tubing.
• Stainless steel hardware is supplied to
   prevent the connections from rusting.

Tread Coverings

ATC-1. Diamond Pattern aluminum tread provides a non-skid surface.

ATC-2. Solid Wood* tread covers in 11/16˝ or 1 3/4˝ finished thickness. Treads are nosed and sanded to a fine finish. (*Only available in mahogany or cedar.)

Balcony and Deck Rails Another consideration when purchasing an aluminum stair is railing for your deck or balcony. Railing is intended as a safety feature to protect people from falling, but it can be coordinated to match the stair railing and fit into your over-all style. Although you may choose a stair with a wide baluster spacing, the balusters on the balcony and deck railing are spaced at 4" or less, which is what the national building code requires.
